I hope you have heard the news... I am both excited and sad to announce that I have accepted the Assistant Principal position at James Short Memorial School. I am excited because James Short is a unique setting and it will be a wonderful learning opportunity for me. Next year, the school will be Kindergarten up to grade two as well as an Early Development Centre program. I actually taught at James Short about 12 years ago and so, while the school has changed a great deal, it still feels familiar.
It is very hard to be leaving Evergreen (My husband keeps reminding me that there will be children at my new school too). I am so grateful for the opportunity to help open this outstanding school and to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people, including the staff and amazing parent community. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the children at Evergreen and I know I am leaving them in good hands. Thank you for making my years here so special. Evergreen will always feel like home to me and I look forward to coming back for a visit or two.
Love,
Mrs. McAsey
