Evergreen students are raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. We will be hosting a "Hop for Muscular Dystrophy" on March 11th and 12th during gym classes.
We decided to raise money to help people living with muscular dystrophy after one of our families approached us with the idea. On February 25, Doctor Lawrence Korngut spoke to us in an assembly about what muscular dystrophy is and the kinds of things doctors and scientists are doing to help people who have muscular dystrophy.
Online Donations can be made on the Evergreen School Team Website. If your family wishes to set up a personal fundraising page, click the "join team" link.
Funds raised through the HOP for Muscular Dystrophy program help families affected by a neuromuscular disorder obtain essential mobility and medical equipment, support services and education as well as funding leading research to find a cure. Go to muscle.ca to learn more.
All students who participate in the fundraising will be entered in a draw for fabulous prizes!
