Trip to the Brier
Evergreen Students have the opportunity to go to the Brier at the Saddledome tomorrow. Brier tickets were generously donated by the Canadian Curling Association. We are so excited that our students will have this uniquely Canadian experience. Just think, many years from now, when the Brier comes on television, our students will remember attending in elementary school. The Brier is the Canadian Curling Championships where teams from every province come to compete.
To prepare for our Brier experience, students have been learning about curling in a variety of ways. Miss McNabb has hosted a curling club for grade ones nearly every day for the past few weeks and all of the students had a chance to try out curling in their gym classes. The Brier trophy even came to visit us for a day. In April, "Rocks and Rings" will be visiting Evergreen school to give students another curling experience in the gym.
